Novak, Jason Schwartzman Writers: Kelly Marcel and Sue Smith Director: John Lee Hancock Distributor: Walt Disney Pictures Release Date: December 13, 2013 (limited); December 20, 2013 (wide) Something you realize very early on in SAVING MR. BANKS is that the filmmakers are very fortunate that Emma Thompson exists to play MARY POPPINS author P.L. Travers. TV Review: LUTHER – Series 3 – “Episodes 1-4”

Idris Elba in LUTHER - Series 3 | ©2013 BBC

Stars: Idris Elba, Sienna Guillory, Warren Brown, David O’Hara, Ruth Wilson, Dermot Crowley, Nikki Amuka-Bird Writer: Neil Cross Director: Sam Miller Network: BBC America, Tuesday-Friday 10 PM Airdates: September 3-6, 2013 Reportedly, Season 3 of LUTHER is its last. This is a crying shame, since Idris Elba inhabits London police detective John Luther with the kind of intensity that makes the world disappear while we’re watching. Most American shows about police who are this tortured wind up looking a little silly, but here, largely because of Elba’s perfect performance and also because we know how profoundly Luther has transgressed, it […]Read On »

Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer Films held the World Premiere of THE LONE RANGER at Disney California Adventure Park at Disneyland in Anaheim on June 22nd. It was a huge premiere between all the press, fans, guests and the stars of the film. Having two pens for just the photographers, I was in pen A. It was a very hot day on top of a long trip to Anaheim, but it was a lot of fun! The carpet ran down the Park’s iconic Hollywood Blvd. and screened in two theaters – Hyperion Theater and The Silver Theatre. If you are old […]Read On »
