In The CW’s new Sunday-night series BATWOMAN, Ruby Rose plays the title character, aka Kate Kane. Caroline Dries adapted the series, based on the DC Comics, in which Kate takes on the vigilante savior mantle after she finds that Batman has seemingly abandoned Gotham City, now under siege by the dreaded Wonderland Gang. In the CW’s freshman series Reign, Thursdays at 8 PM, we are in sixteenth-century France. Fifteen-year-old Mary (Adelaide Kane), Queen of Scots, is here to wait for her arranged marriage to the French crown Prince, Francis II (Toby Regbo). On July 29th a big party was held by CBS/The CW/Showtime for the Television Critics Annual Summer Press Tour at The Event, which is actually the upper parking lot where the department store Robinson’s/May in Beverly Hills used to be.
