Exclusive Interview: LEVERAGE guest star Mark Sheppard on the return of Jim Sterling

On TNT’s LEVERAGE, airing its summer finale tonight at 9 PM, Timothy Hutton’s former insurance investigator Nathan Ford rides herd on a small team of con artists who pool their various skills in the service of doing the right thing. As LEVERAGE wraps up the summer portion of Season 4 (with a return of regular antagonist Jim Sterling played by Mark Sheppard), ASSIGNMENT X chatted with star Aldis Hodge who plays hacker Hardison on the series. Throughout the course of the TNT series, Hardison has went from wise-cracking loner to someone who is finally accepting that he’s part of a team. WonderCon 2011: LEVERAGE guest star Mark Sheppard says you can’t get rid of Sterling

During the press event for DOCTOR WHO at WonderCon 2011 in San Francisco, frequent LEVERAGE guest-star Mark Sheppard (who played Timothy Hutton’s nemesis Jim Sterling on the show) commented on whether he would be in the upcoming fourth season of LEVERAGE. On the heels of “The Big Bang Job,” “The San Lorenzo Job” has Nate (Timothy Hutton) and company heading in pursuit of Damian Moreau (Goran Visnjic) to the title island nation, where the dictatorial President Ribera (Alastair Duncan) holds sway. San Lorenzo has no extradition treaties and Moreau bought Ribera his position, so it’s a safe haven for the criminal – or so he thinks. With an election coming but U.N. inspectors thick on the ground, Ribera has jailed all of his opposition, including Eliot’s (Christian Kane) old friend Gen. Flores – who refuses to be sprung from prison without his men.
