In Hallmark Channel’s original movie ROCK THE HOUSE (which airs tonight), lawyer Max, played by Jack Coleman, finds a way to reconnect with his daughter and his old sense of joy when he gets back together with his music-making friends from his teenaged years. Lately, he’s had a recurring role on THE OFFICE as a Senator dating Angela (Angela Kinsey) who may be […]Read On »

Thomas Dekker at the World Premiere of I AM NUMBER FOUR | ©2011 Sue Schneider

Though Thomas Dekker makes a big impression as Lance Loud in HBO’s CINEMA VERITE movie based on the 1970s PBS documentary series AN AMERICAN FAMILY,  this certainly won’t be the first, and last time this charismatic young actor will be in the spotlight. Starting from the age of six, Dekker’s grew from parts in SEINFELD and TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL to cartoon voices for LAND BEFORE TIME and AMERICAN TAIL spin-offs, then turned in notable teen performances in BOSTON PUBLIC, CSI and HOUSE M.D. Dekker then gained a true cult following on the shows HEROES and TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR […]Read On »

Exclusive Interview: CINEMA VERITE star Thomas Dekker gets real – Part 1

Thomas Dekker in CINEMA VERITE | ©2011 HBO

In an age where no one bats an eye at watching a man with mascara on network family hour, or showing off their flamboyantly great fashion style for reality television, it’s hard to remember when homosexuals were barely shown (and swishily condescended to when they were) on America’s sets. Don’t even ask what you mostly got on the big screen. Leave it to Lance Loud to make his sexuality heard loud and clear for millions of Americans when PBS cameras became part of his clan’s lives for their groundbreaking series AN AMERICAN FAMILY. Beyond showing that “real” people were just […]Read On »

WonderCon 2011: Will there be anymore HEROES? Former producer Bryan Fuller chimes in (Exclusive)

HEROES - Season 1 - DVD | ©NBC Universal

Bryan Fuller was both a co-executive producer and consulting producer for NBC’s HEROES during its run before moving to PUSHING DAISIES on ABC and then briefly returning to HEROES for its final year. So does he hear about anything happening with the series either movies or otherwise? “Nothing,” Fuller says. “I wouldn’t be surprised if they waited for a while and then they reinvented it entirely. There have been two regime changes at NBC since HEROES came out and neither of those had a vested interest in the show. I can’t imagine they would go back into the vault, but […]Read On »

The X List: Catwoman of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES: 5 Things You Need To Know

Catwoman is eyeing you. | ©2011 DC Comics.

Well, now we know: The two villains that will square off against Christian Bale’s gravelly-voiced Gotham City crusader in the third Christopher Nolan-helmed Batman film DARK KNIGHT RISES will be Catwoman (purrfect) and Bane (snap!) played by Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy, respectively. With a fan base not only devoutly dedicated to the many years of continuity in the Bat-comics, but impressed by Nolan’s unique, some might even say pseudo-realistic take on the surreal shenanigans of the cowled one and his extensive rogues’ gallery, how exactly do you handle reintroducing both of these antagonists in a way sure to please […]Read On »
