ABC’s hit show CASTLE, wrapping up its third season Mondays at 10 PM and coming back for a fourth season, is named for its hero. Nathan Fillion’s Richard Castle is a hugely successful NY-based mystery novelist who lives with his mother Martha (Susan Sullivan) and teenaged daughter Alexis (Molly Quinn). He has become unofficial partner to NYPD homicide detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic), who treats Castle with a combination of affection, annoyance and attraction as he trails her, ostensibly as inspiration for his writing, but clearly more because he just enjoys her company. For anyone who doesn’t know Fillion’s pre-CASTLE […]Read On »

If there is a Season 3 of V, where does Elizabeth Mitchell see her FBI character of Erica going? Will she be a kick-ass, take no prisoners type of character given that everyone she has loved is now gone? Talking with us at WonderCon 2011 in San Francisco, this is what she had to say. “Yes, I would like her to be a nothing to lose, incredibly strong, incredibly intelligent character,” Mitchell says. “I feel that maybe we can out think them [the aliens\. We are talking about the reptilian brain, which is mostly just instinct. So with a combination […]Read On »

In the two seasons V has been on the air on ABC, we’ve seen 1980s V stars Jane Badler and Marc Singer make significant appearances (with Singer potentially coming back for a major recurring role if Season 3 is picked up). The big question though is who else would Scott Rosenbaum (executive producer and V showrunner) like to bring back? “I would actually like to bring some of the actors back from [the original V series] if there is a Season 3,” Rosenbaum reveals. “I would definitely love to have Michael Ironside and I would love to have Robert Englund. While speaking to the press at WonderCon 2011 in San Francisco today, we grilled V executive producer Scott Rosenbaum about whether or not there will be a third season of the cult ABC series. The answer was simple. “We do not know about a third season at this point,” Rosenbaum admits. However, if there is a V Season 3, Rosenbaum is excited by all the possibilities that the season 2 finale “Mother’s Day” left open. “I am most excited about it more than I have ever been, because [V] has gotten to a place at the end of this season, […]Read On »

Creator and writer Bryan Fuller at WonderCon 2011 | ©2011 Assignment X/Peter Brown Bryan Fuller’s baby PUSHING DAISIES only lasted two seasons on ABC and one could argue at the treatment it received during that second season. However, he isn’t saying goodbye just yet and would love to have it appear on another network at some point. “I am really emboldened by what Starz is doing with TORCHWOOD and I would love to do a PUSHING DAISIES mini-series on Starz,” Fuller says. “This would be a great way to wrap up the show properly. [We could] do six great episodes […]Read On »

Interview: NO ORDINARY FAMILY star Michael Chiklis becomes Super-Dad

Michael Chicklis in NO ORDINARY FAMILY - Season 1 | ©2010 ABC/Bob D'Amico

In ABC’s NO ORDINARY FAMILY, the Powells come back from vacation much less ordinary than when they left. Mother Stephanie (Julie Benz) has super-speed, young son J.J. (Jimmy Bennett) has super-intelligence and teenager Daphne (Kay Panabaker) can read minds. As for family father Jim, played by Michael Chiklis, he is suddenly strong enough to toss a car, muscular enough to leap on top of a building and hardy enough to stop bullets. Chiklis has been involved in the superhero genre before, playing Ben Grimm/Thing in the two big screen adaptations of  FANTASTIC FOUR. On television, he spent five years as […]Read On »

It turns out that evil reptilian aliens who invade Earth are so unpredictable that they can surprise even the actors who play them. At least, Morena Baccarin says, this is the case with Anna, the ruthless Visitor leader she portrays on V, which has its second season finale tonight on ABC at 9. This season, Brazilian-born Baccarin (a heroine to fans of FIREFLY and SERENITY for portraying Inara Serra as well as a veteran of STARGATE SG-1 as the dangerous Adria) killed a fellow visitor with her tail and ingested a rodent, not to mention dealing with her mother Diana, […]Read On »
