Aaron Ashmore is no stranger to genre television. A lot of fans of science fiction television will recognize him from his days on SMALLVILE, but now he’s got a whole new gig as an agent of WAREHOUSE 13. His character Steve Jinks joined this season, and is the Warehouse’s first openly gay character, which also has the uncanny ability to tell when a person is lying. ASSIGNMENT X was lucky enough to get the chance to talk to Ashmore about joining the series, and chatted with him about the experience of joining a cast partway through the run of a […]Read On »

Laura Mennell in ALPHAS - Season 1 - "Catch and Release" | ©2011 Syfy/Ken Woroner

Stars: David Strathairn, Ryan Cartwright, Warren Christie, Warren Christie, Azita Ghanizada, Laura Mennell, Malik Yoba, Valerie Cruz, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali, Summer Glau, Jane Moffat Writer: Michael Karnow, series created by Zak Penn & Michael Karnow Director: Kevin Hooks Network: Syfy, Mondays @ 10 PM Airdate: August 22, 2011 Nothing is very straightforward for the ALPHAS gang for long. “Catch and Release” presents everybody with a set of moral dilemmas, with the various characters landing in different places along the spectrum. As a bonus, Summer Glau guest stars as an Alpha (though the writing/casting veers away from the obvious kick-ass possibilities). Skylar […]Read On »

AMERICA’S GOT TALENT Recap: “Semi-Finals – Round 1” – Results Show

West Springfield Dance Team on AMERICA'S GOT TALENT - Season 6 - "Semi-Finals Round 1 - Results Show" | ©2011 NBC/Trae Patton

It was no surprise when it was announced that front runner Team Iluminate was bound for the finals tonight on AMERICA’S GOT TALENT. The rest of the choices were a bit trickier, although, yours truly managed to pick nearly every one of them – so sorry to see Daniel Joseph Baker leave. Still, those that left the stage weren’t without talent and merit. Zuma Zuma and their amazingly bendable performance deserve to have a place to bend somewhere. However, I’m not sure Sandou Trio Russian Bar still has that option after an incredibly disappointing performance last night. Bicyclist stunt performer […]Read On »

Finally, the Season 6 AMERICA’S GOT TALENT Semi Finals are here! Twelve acts performed on AGT tonight hoping for a shot at the finals. Five will go through tomorrow night and for the other seven the journey comes to an end for good. Most of the acts stepped it up and deemed themselves worthy of their semi finals placement. However, others botched it completely. In particular, Sandou Trio Russian Bar went way off the deep end with their act and practically threw away their chances of moving on in the competition. What were they thinking? They got to the semi […]Read On »

Surprisingly enough, that isn’t even touched on in the new episode “Past Imperfect.” There are elements of the evil Warehouse crew about in this episode, but they take a back seat to a re-visiting of Myka […]Read On »
