Recently Lionsgate and Millennium Films held the World Premiere of THE EXPENDABLES 2 at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. It was the usual scenario at the premiere – street closures, fans lined the street screaming when the stars arrived and tons of photographers and electronic press lined the black carpet. Walking the carpet were the stars of the film, which included: Sylvester Stallone (Screenplay), Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Charisma Carpenter, Nikolette Noel, Brian Tyler (Music), Simon West (Director). Recently Disney presented the World Premiere of THE ODD LIFE OF TIMOTHY GREEN at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. Closing Hollywood from Highland to Orange the atmosphere of the night was green like a garden, where Timothy Green grows from. Fans lined both sides of the street to get autographs and take pictures of the stars as they arrived. Recently Columbia Pictures held the Los Angeles Premiere of TOTAL RECALL at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. TOTAL RECALL, which is now playing, is an action thriller about reality and memory, inspired anew by the famous short story “We Can Remember It For You Wholesale” by Philip K. Dick. Breaking News: BBC America remakes THE MUSKETEERS as a 10-episode series to air in 2014 – TCA 2012

THE THREE MUSKETEERS novel by Alexandre Dumas

At today’s TCA Cable Press Tour, BBC America announced they will be embarking on a co-production with BBC One of MUSKETEERS – a new series written by Adrian Hodges (PRIMEVAL, SURVIVORS). The series will debut in 2014 and is inspired by the classic Alexandre Dumas novel THE THREE MUSKETEERS. Although set in the 17th Century, the series will bring a more contemporary and realistic take on the story of a “trained band of brothers who are assigned to protect King and country” as the press release says. TCA 2012 News: Showtime talks about its CONQUEST series with director Ron Howard

While director Ron Howard has been interested in television for awhile (his shelved adaptation of Stephen King’s THE DARK TOWER was to span both movies and a TV series), he’s now moving his attention to helm a new Showtime series called CONQUEST. To be written by Jose Rivera the series will focus on Spanish Conquistador Hernan Cortes and his battles with Aztec empire ruler Moctezuma II. TCA 2012 News: Showtime keeps door open for more DEXTER after its anticipated final two seasons

At the Showtime TCA 2012 Press Tour, Showtime President David Nevins hinted he wouldn’t turn down the opportunity to continue DEXTER after what is intended to be its final two seasons. “What I’ve said before is likely two years, but I’m not making any announcements today, and I think plans can always change,” says Nevins. “I think everything has gotten rewired this year in a very interesting way.
