Jackson – THE TOWN, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: GHOST PROTOCOL and 28 WEEKS LATER. Renner also gave a mesmerizing performance as the title character in the fact-based film DAHMER and has even played a vampire in an episode of THE AVENGERS writer/director Joss Whedon’s TV series ANGEL back in 2000. This series has had some interesting ups and downs, but one thing is for sure, it never ceases to be one of my favorite “guilty pleasures” on television. I’ve been bitching for most of the season that I wanted […]Read On »

With “Prom-asauras” there are still remnants of the things that frustrate long-time fans (myself included), but it’s made up by […]Read On »

Stana Katic as Beckett and Nathan Fillion as Castle in the CASTLE episode Always | (c) 2012 ABC/VIVIAN ZINK

Stars: Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic, Susan Sullivan, Molly Quinn, Tamala Jones, Seamus Deaver, Jon Huertas, Penny Johnson Jerald Writer: Terri Edda Miller & Andrew W. Marlowe Director: Rob Bowman Network: ABC, Monday nights, 10 p.m. Original Telecast: May 7, 2012 It’s not enough, apparently, that the producers of CASTLE spent most of Season Three teasing us with the will they/won’t they relationship between author and dilettante crime fighter Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Det. Kate Beckett. It’s not enough that they spent this entire season doing the same. They had to spend the entire season finale needlessly and ridiculously teasing us with “Always.” We do […]Read On »

Stars: Donald Driver, Roshon Fegan, Melissa Gilbert, Katherine Jenkins, William Levy, Maria Menounos, Network: ABC, airs Mondays, Tuesdays Original Telecast: May 8th, 2012 Well, partly surprisingly and partly not, DANCING WITH THE STARS: The Results double elimination show once again demonstrated the importance of the fans’ votes. Taken out too early, perhaps, were Roshon Fegan & Chelsie Hightower who were in second place after Monday’s show but were untimely dismissed tonight. Not so shocking was the elimination of Melissa Gilbert & Maksim Chmerkovskiy. She had landed at the bottom of the judges’ scores time and time again so even though […]Read On »

CD Review: CASA DE MI PADRE soundtrack

CASA DE MI PADRE soundtrack | ©2012 Lakeshore Records

It’s one thing to do a clever spoof of an inane genre, but it’s a whole other feat to pull off a soundtrack that’s at once the real musical deal (en Espanol no less) while letting the listener know its tongue is firmly planted in its ear. The earnest, well-produced tune jokes keep on coming, from El Puma’s Spanish spin on “A Whiter Shade […]Read On »
