Cast: Ryan Seacrest, Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler, Randy Jackson Network: Fox, airs Tuesday and Wednesday Original Telecast: May 24, 2011 It is the last chance to impress on the world’s greatest karaoke competition, AMERICAN IDOL. Either it will be country singing Scotty McCreery or country and adult contemporary singing Lauren Alaina? Maybe a better question is: Why is Seacrest is a tuxedo? Is this that big of a deal? I don’t see anyone else decked out to the nines. The three rounds are divided into 1) the favorite song of the season from the contestants 2) a song picked by […]Read On »

It’s all over but the shouting! Hines Ward and Kym Johnson are the champions of DANCING WITH THE STARS – Season 12! It was no big surprise that Ward won. Ten Reasons Why Lauren Alaina will win AMERICAN IDOL – Season 10

Lauren Alaina in AMERICAN IDOL: TOP 24 | ©2011 Fox/Michael Becker

At this point, the AMERICAN IDOL race comes down to two country singers – Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina. They’ve beaten all the odds and are now the Final Two (despite people shocked that frontrunners Casey Abrams, James Durbin didn’t make it – and of course Haley Reinhart missing the coveted Top Two as well). So now it comes down to who is in it, to win it (Randy Jackson’s catchphrase this season) and tonight, Lauren has to step up her game, shake her usually rattled nerves and show the world why she should be the next Carrie Underwood. Here […]Read On »

The Dork Side: The problem with GLEE and its real “agenda”

I like GLEE. I really do, but, I have a problem with it, and I want you to know that I criticize it, because I care. Conservative pundits have been ranting about the supposed gay agenda the show is pushing, which is completely ridiculous. Of course, several media outlets ran with the story even though it’s total crap. There is no gay agenda. It’s just a TV show that treats its gay characters like actual human beings. “Gay people are people, too. Film at 11.” GLEE (which airs its Season 2 finale tonight) does a lot of things right. It […]Read On »

Stars: Delroy Lindo, Billy Lush, Matt Lauria, Jennifer Beals, Jason Clarke, Devin Kelley and Todd Williams Writer: Shawn Ryan, Director: Lesli Linka Glatter Network: Fox, airs Monday nights Original Telecast: May 23, 2011 With the news last week that THE CHICAGO CODE was canceled, it didn’t bode well for how the season and now series final “Mike Royko’s Revenge” was going to wrap up. Would it be a cliffhanger or would everything get tied up in a neat little bow? Were the producers prepared for a conclusion in the off-chance it didn’t get renewed? And strangely, it ended, exactly how […]Read On »

TV Review: DANCING WITH THE STARS – Season 12 – Week 10 – “Finals”

Well, it’s almost over.  Season 12 of DANCING WITH THE STARS has been a very sporadic, entertaining year with many people taking turns at being the front runner. Alas, it all came to an end in a very anti-climatic manner. None of the freestyles were mind blowing and yet the judges gave Hines Ward and Chelsea Kane perfect 30s, almost like it was expected. Kirstie Alley fared as well, no better, as she did in the semi finals with a 27 for her freestyle – still never achieving a perfect 30, meaning her chances of winning are almost nonexistent. The […]Read On »

ASSIGNMENT X: Beckman does show up in person occasionally, but most of the time, she interacts with Chuck et al over a computer monitor … BONITA FRIEDERICY: I’m playing a part that actually is pretty much on a monitor.
