MATLOCK is now in its second season Thursday nights on CBS, with episodes thereafter streaming on Paramount+. ABC’s STATION 19, now wrapping up its second season and renewed for a third, is a spinoff of its Thursday night lead-in, GREY’S ANATOMY. As with most spinoffs, there are some characters who moved from the original series to the new show. Among these migratory figures is Jason George’s character Ben Warren, who was a previously a doctor on GREY’S ANATOMY for eight seasons, but has gone through retraining to become a Station 19 firefighter in the newer series. STATION 19, now in its second season on ABC, is set in a Seattle fire station. The series is a spinoff of the venerable GREY’S ANATOMY, which immediately precedes STATION 19 on Thursday nights. GREY’S ANATOMY is created and executive-produced by Shonda Rhimes, who also executive-produces STATION 19 and worked with series creator Stacy McKee in bringing it to life.
