MIDNIGHT, TEXAS, which airs Monday nights on NBC, is based on a series of novels by Charlaine Harris (TRUE BLOOD) about a small town inhabited almost entirely by supernatural types. There’s a pastor who’s also a weretiger (Yul Vasquez), a vampire who ingests both blood and emotions (Peter Mensah), a tattoo artist who’s a fallen angel (Jason Lewis), a helpful witch (Paris Tirz-Henley), a freelance assassin (Arielle Kebbel) and a newly-arrived medium who talks to the dead (Francois Arnaud). Despite their differences, the townsfolk mostly get along. Dylan Bruce’s character, pawnshop owner Bobo Winthrop, stands out because he’s apparently one […]Read On »

Recently Warner Bros. Pictures held the Los Angeles Premiere of 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Even though the streets were closed from Highland to Orange, it basically was a small premiere with the stars of the film and a few guest…and of course fans. Lena Headey reprised her role, Queen Gorgo, from 300 (2006), but thinking back to the first film’s premiere missed seeing Gerard Butler walking the carpet (he was killed in the first movie). Seen walking the carpet were the stars of the film, which included: Eva Green, Lena Headey, Callan […]Read On »

DeKnight Director: Jesse Warn Network: STARZ, airs Friday nights Original Telecast: March 16, 2012 I was not a person who initially liked the original SPARTACUS: BLOOD AND SAND. I admit to only having watched the first three-fourths of the pilot (before Lucy Lawless and John Hannah even appeared on screen) and I was so unimpressed that I shut it off and didn’t return to the show until DVD. Once I got into it, I was hooked. I had marathons […]Read On »
