In ABC’s Wednesday-night freshman series STUMPTOWN, newly-minted private detective Dex Parios (Cobie Smulders) tracks down miscreants in Portland, Oregon. Dex is also handling a couple of complicated friendships, one with bar owner/ex-con Grey McConnell (Jake Johnston) and another with Portland police detective Miles Hoffman (Michael Ealy). “Stumptown” is a nickname for Portland, Oregon, coined from the city’s origins as a logging camp.
