With HOUSE returning for Season 8 with a leaner cast this fall, and a long negotiation process that delayed the announcement it would be returning, the question mark of whether the show will return for a Season 9 was in the air at today’s Summer 2011 Television Critics Association session for Fox. Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly says he still has no word if this will be the show’s final season. “I can’t confirm it’s the last season,” says Reilly. “Hugh [Laurie] is mulling it. The producers are. This is the original team of creators who have been there from […]Read On »

To tide us fans over, ASSIGNMENT X has compiled a list of things we’d like to see in Season 7. Let us know what you think. 1. Real-life pregnant Emily Deschanel playing fictional pregnant Temperance Brennan. We can safely expect this one. Kudos to show runner Hart Hanson, the production company and Deschanel for incorporating the pregnancy into the storyline rather than stashing Brennan behind autopsy tables or sending the character away for the duration. 2. Okay. So the sky isn’t falling … just yet, but at today’s Fox Winter TCA tour in Pasadena, CA, Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly admitted that the reason why HOUSE and BONES haven’t been renewed for next season comes down to contract negotiations. “Both shows are creatively important to us,” Reilly says. “I anticipate both will be back. TV Review: HOUSE – Season 7 – “Selfish”

Hugh Laurie in HOUSE - Season 7 | ©2010 Fox

Stars: Hugh Laurie, Lisa Edelstein, Robert Sean Leonard, Omar Epps, Jesse Spencer, Olivia Wilde, Peter Jacobson Writer: Eli Attie Director: Daniel Attias Network: Fox, airs Monday nights Original Telecast: September 27, 2010 Did we get our first real HOUSE episode of the season? Not to knock the season premiere, “Now What?” (which was good but hardly resembled a HOUSE episode), but “Selfish” showed us that Huddy and HOUSE can coexist and in fact make for some darn good television. To be honest, that was what was on the line this week: whether HOUSE can truly pull this off or if, […]Read On »

TV Review: HOUSE – Season 7 – “Now What?” – Season Premiere

Stars: Hugh Laurie, Lisa Edelstein, Robert Sean Leonard, Omar Epps, Jesse Spencer, Olivia Wilde, Peter Jacobson Writer: Doris Egan Director: Greg Yaitanes Network: Fox, airs Monday nights Original Telecast: September 20, 2010 Well, it was real. Huddy (House + Cuddy for you folks out there not in the know) is happening, and to be honest, I’m not sure how I feel about that as HOUSE enters its seventh season. I suppose it would have been utterly ridiculous to have House (Hugh Laurie) and Cuddy’s (Lisa Edelstein) encounter be another hallucination or a dream or any other DALLAS type ending. At […]Read On »
