DreamWorks Animation held the Los Angeles Premiere of KUNG FU PANDA 2 at the Mann’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on May 22nd. They had a huge before party with games and food that the stars and guests attended. Each attendee was giving a black gift bag filled with stuff, although I’m not sure what was in the bag! The World Premiere of Disney’s PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES was held May 7th at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. This is the second part of our photo coverage. Arriving at Disneyland at 4:00pm the press gathered in the Media Center, which was located inside the Mr. Lincoln’s Theater at the beginning of Main Street. Paramount Pictures held the Los Angeles Premiere of RANGO on February 14 at the Regency Village Theater in Westwood, CA. Fans were everywhere and when Johnny Depp arrived the screams were deafening. Johnny took the time to go to each section and sign as many autographs as he could. The carpet was a sand color to match an “Old West” theme that was the backgrounds that ran the carpet. CD Review: MEGAMIND original soundtrack

Though his one-time minion Heitor Pereria beat him to the supervillain scoring punch with DESPICABLE ME, Hans Zimmer gets the last laugh by actually seeing his similarly-themed, and equally fun MEGAMIND score (done in cahoots with Lorne Balfe) get an actual release on Lakeshore Records. Sure, both flicks might have arches trumpeting their dastardly doings. Yet both DESPICABLE ME and MEGAMIND also show their uber-evil characters as big musical softies.
