In ABC’s new Monday-night drama THE GOOD DOCTOR, Freddie Highmore plays Dr. Shaun Murphy, a first-year surgical resident who is exceptionally intuitive as a doctor and who is also autistic. Antonia Thomas plays Dr. Claire Browne, a fellow surgical resident who befriends Shaun. Thomas is known for her work in MISFITS, SUNSHINE ON LEITH and HOMEFRONT. HOUSE creator David Shore has a brought forth another drama about an unconventional physician. In ABC’s new Monday night series THE GOOD DOCTOR, Freddie Highmore stars as the title character, Dr. Shaun Murphy. A&E Network held a premiere party for their new series BATES MOTEL on March 12th at SoHo House West Hollywood. BATES MOTEL is inspired by Hitchcock’s film, PSYCHO and we all remember the shower scene in that film…hard to forget. This is a prequel that will explain how Norman Bates became the Norman Bates of the film. How his psyche unravels through his teenage years and about his relationship with his mother Norma. When A&E announced they were going to do a PSYCHO prequel series called BATES MOTEL, it was questionable whether such an iconic character could be reinvented once again (anyone remember the 1998 Gus Van Sant shot-for-shot remake?)
