NURSES: Actress Natasha Calis on new NBC medical drama – Exclusive Interview

NURSES is airing its first season Tuesday nights on NBC. Season 2 wrapped shooting in October, 2020. The medical drama deals with the nursing staff at the busy (fictional) St. Mary’s Hospital in down Toronto, Canada. Natasha Calis plays nurse Ashley Collins, dedicated to her patients and loyal to her friends. Calis began acting at the age of seven, with a live-action role in THE CHRISTMAS CAPER. A&E Network held a premiere party for their new series BATES MOTEL on March 12th at SoHo House West Hollywood. BATES MOTEL is inspired by Hitchcock’s film, PSYCHO and we all remember the shower scene in that film…hard to forget. This is a prequel that will explain how Norman Bates became the Norman Bates of the film. How his psyche unravels through his teenage years and about his relationship with his mother Norma. When A&E announced they were going to do a PSYCHO prequel series called BATES MOTEL, it was questionable whether such an iconic character could be reinvented once again (anyone remember the 1998 Gus Van Sant shot-for-shot remake?)
