Dustin Hoffman in LUCK - Season 1 | ©HBO/Steve Schapiro

One of the biggest coups in TV this year comes from HBO that nabbed actor Dustin Hoffman to star in LUCK, the gambling drama created by David Milch and directed by Michael Mann. At HBO’s TCA session for the series which debuts January 29, Hoffman admitted he didn’t know what to expect joining a TV show for the first time. “I was expecting [to shoot] 20 pages a day,” says Hoffman. “I was expecting an atmosphere that, you know, was like making movies on cocaine or something, but it’s the opposite. We did the best we could with as much […]Read On »

DreamWorks Animation held the Los Angeles Premiere of KUNG FU PANDA 2 at the Mann’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on May 22nd. They had a huge before party with games and food that the stars and guests attended. Each attendee was giving a black gift bag filled with stuff, although I’m not sure what was in the bag! Fans lined the open area opposite from the press to get autographs and take pictures, and waited until Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt arrived; which since Jolie and Pitt love their fans, they signed many autographs. Before the premiere started a paper […]Read On »

Po (Jack Black) is the Dragon Warrior and he fights for […]Read On »

CD Review: LITTLE FOCKERS soundtrack

It’s not easy to follow in the footsteps of Randy Newman, even for Randy Newman, given the diminishing returns of the sequels to the undeniably great MEET THE PARENTS. And while the third time isn’t a charm for the at-times amusing LITTLE FOCKERS, composer Stephen Trask certainly does his darndest to make things funny. Given his broadest comedy to score for his fourth pairing with director Paul Weitz after their clever work with IN GOOD COMPANY, AMERICAN DREAMZ and THE VAMPIRE’S ASSISTANT, Trask makes the wise choice of stepping into Randy Newman’s shoes at first. It’s a nice job of […]Read On »
