The episode’s theme is, no surprise, “The First […]Read On »

And now I hate her too. Really bad. This season you started her off on the wrong […]Read On »

If so, GLEE – Season 3 may have officially started. “Asian F” is one of those startlingly good episodes of GLEE – one that sneaks up from behind and reminds you why the show can be so good and focused when it wants to be. One week, you’re feeling lousy about what the show just did, the next week you’re surprised it pulled itself out of the muck and delivered a good episode. That trend seems to already be in place […]Read On »

Guest Column by JOSIE CAMPBELL for TV.com GLEE just began its third season on Fox (airing Tuesday nights),  and even though the show tackles complex themes like teen pregnancy, gay rights, disability, and alienation through show stopping numbers and Top 40 hits, sometimes the music selection can be a bit hit and miss at times. While the showrunners of GLEE obviously don’t need our help in coming up with new themes and songs to tackle, we still felt it would be fun to come up with a list of our own Top 10 songs that we would like to see […]Read On »

The season three premiere “The Purple Piano Project” already feels like the show has “been there, done that” hitting some of the same beats as […]Read On »

GLEE is an undeniable phenomenon. It’s a hit musical comedy-drama series on Fox, now going into its third year; it’s a series of original cast worldwide live concert tours; it’s GLEE: THE 3D CONCERT MOVIE, now in theaters. All of these are choreographed by Zach Woodlee, who also serves as an on-camera mentor on Oxygen’s reality competition show THE GLEE PROJECT, which has its season finale this Sunday, with the winner getting a role on GLEE the series. Woodlee talks with ASSIGNMENT X about his GLEE-full life. ASSIGNMENT X: On the original GLEE, was there a minimal level of dance […]Read On »

This season had some really high points, and some horribly preachy overdone episodes, but all in all I try to just remember the moments that honestly were amazing. Following on the heels of last week’s episode “Funeral” (which was one of BEST episodes of the […]Read On »

The Dork Side: The problem with GLEE and its real “agenda”

Cory Monteith, Dianna Agron and Lea Michele in GLEE - Season 2 - "Night of Neglect" | ©2011 Fox/Adam Rose

I like GLEE. I really do, but, I have a problem with it, and I want you to know that I criticize it, because I care. Conservative pundits have been ranting about the supposed gay agenda the show is pushing, which is completely ridiculous. Of course, several media outlets ran with the story even though it’s total crap. There is no gay agenda. It’s just a TV show that treats its gay characters like actual human beings. “Gay people are people, too. Film at 11.” GLEE (which airs its Season 2 finale tonight) does a lot of things right. It […]Read On »

TV Review: GLEE – Season 2 – “Funeral”

Jane Lynch, Jessalyn Golsig, Kent Avenido in GLEE - Season 2 - "Funeral" | ©2011 Fox/Beth Dubber

Stars: Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Jessalyn Gilsig, Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley, Mark Salling, Jenna Ushkowitz Writer: Ryan Murphy Director:  Bradley Buecker Network: Fox, airs Tuesday nights Original Telecast: May 18, 2011 Characters should be the backbone of any TV series. They should move a series forward, they should connect with an audience and there should be some consistency in their actions as well. With GLEE in Season 2, it’s proven to be a topsy-turvy ride character-wise with random motivations, left-field personality switches and a heavy reliance on romantic pairings that […]Read On »
