One of the biggest coups in TV this year comes from HBO that nabbed actor Dustin Hoffman to star in LUCK, the gambling drama created by David Milch and directed by Michael Mann. However, the numerical is now so well known that it’s part of the title of ABC’s freshman drama DETROIT 1-8-7, which deals with a Detroit Police Department squad that investigates murders, with Michael Imperioli and James McDaniel heading the cast.
