PENNY DREADFUL: CITY OF ANGELS, now in its first season Sundays on Showtime, is technically a spinoff of the original 2014-2016. Both series were created by John Logan, but where the first PENNY DREADFUL was set in 1890s London and the Old West, dealing with classical monsters, PENNY DREADFUL: CITY OF ANGELS is set in 1938 Los Angeles. There is Santa Muerte (Lorenza Izzo), the Angel of Death from Latin folklore, and her demon sister Magda (Natalie Dormer), who takes on many identities as she tries to inspire people to violence. However, most of the monsters in PENNY DREADFUL: CITY […]Read On »

In CBS’ new drama series RECKLESS, Sundays at 9 PM, scandal rips through Charleston, South Carolina. When a (possibly nonconsensual) sex tape involving a number of police officers – multiple men with one woman (Georgina Haig) – surfaces, it leads to a firing, a lawsuit and a clash between a Yankee plaintiff lawyer (Anna Wood) and an aspiring politician representing the police department’s interests (Cam Gigadet). Shawn Hatosy (pronounced HAT-oh-see) plays Terry McCandless, the officer who is the evident ringleader in what’s happening on the tape. Warner Bros. Pictures held the World Premiere recently for MAGIC MIKE at the Regal Cinemas L.A. Live in Los Angeles, as the closing night gala of the 2012 Los Angeles Film Festival. MAGIC MIKE makes me think of Chippendale’s, where male strippers dressed in costume and performed for women of all ages, as the patrons screamed and stuffed money into the pants of the strippers…and no men were allowed in! Seen walking the carpet were the stars of the film, which included: Channing Tatum, Adam Rodriguez, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey, Cody Horn, Olivia Munn, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash, […]Read On »
