Stars: Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy, Brenda Strong, Linda Gray, Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo Writer: Cynthia Cidre & Robert Rovner Director: Steve Robin Network: TNT, airs Wednesday nights Original Telecast: August 8, 2012 The build up was intense, the results, not quite what I expected. Still, the DALLAS Season One finale “Revelations” was only partially intriguing, somewhat suspenseful and not hardly at all surprising. Perhaps, it was because my expectations were too high. Or maybe it was because I was led to believe I could expect above average greatness, every time, ever week. This week, arguably, the […]Read On »

TV Review: BREAKING BAD – Season 5 – “Fifty-One”

Bryan Cranston and Anna White in BREAKING BAD - Season 5 - "Fifty-One" | ©2012 AMC/Ursula Coyote

Stars:  Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn Writer: Sam Catlin Director: Rian Johnson Network: AMC, airs Sunday Nights Original Telecast: August 6, 2012 “Fifty-One” is perhaps the most harrowing episode of BREAKING BAD this season, as it deals primarily with the toll Walter White’s (Bryan Cranston’s) year-long transformation has taken on his wife, Skyler (Anna Gunn).  Since Walt’s become a power-hungry madman, we were aware that this toll was heavy, but this episode features several gasp-worthy moments that is notable not only for the depiction of Walt’s depravity, but for its abject sadness. Some of those difficult domestic moments include: […]Read On »

Stars: Tyler Posey, Crystal Reed, Dylan O’Brien, Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden, Colton Haynes, Linden Ashby, JR Bourne Writer: Jeff Davis Director  Tim Andrew Network: MTV, airs Monday nights Original Telecast: August 7, 2012 After a full season of one major event after another in a great, long story arc (and little room to breathe), “Battlefield” finally allows TEEN WOLF to put some space between the major Kanima storyline and last week’s death of Matt (Stephen Lunsford) who went pretty crazy after he bonded with the Kanima. He wanted revenge, and the Kanima offered that. It wasn’t intentional, but it happened. […]Read On »

LONGMIRE is A&E’s new contemporary Western procedural based on the mystery novels by Craig Johnson, airing Sundays at 10 PM. Stars: Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy, Brenda Strong, Linda Gray, Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo Writer: Bruce Rasmussen Director: Michael M. Robin Network: TNT, airs Wednesday nights Original Telecast: Aug 1st, 2012 As we reach the end of Season 1 DALLAS, I can’t help but feel sad, TV depressed that is. After all, a show finally comes around that can not only peak my interest but also keep it throughout the entire season. Now, granted the season is only ten episodes – note to producers: that’s not enough – but still after one episode of ANGER MANAGEMENT and […]Read On »

Connolly, Series created by Hunt Baldwin & John Coveny, Based on the novels by Craig Johnson Director: J. Michael Muro   Network: A&E, airs Sunday nights Original Telecast: July 22, 2012 “An Incredibly Beautiful Thing” is yet another episode of LONGMIRE where you really don’t have a specific idea of where the story is going to go. I like the fact that this series, even though it’s set in a small town, has a width and breadth of diversity for the types […]Read On »
