TCA 2011: AMERICAN IDOL judge Steven Tyler says AEROSMITH is not dead and working on new album

While speaking at today’s Fox Winter TCA tour in Pasadena, CA, singer Steven Tyler who is a judge on this year’s AMERICAN IDOL confirmed that Aerosmith is not dead, even though he’s doing IDOL. “We’re just on a break,” he admits. “What people don’t know is we did a South American tour. We’re still rocking big time. We have one more album for Sony and we’re working on it at the end of January. We’re starting to write songs. We booked a tour for November and December. While speaking at today’s Fox Winter TCA tour in Pasadena, CA, the AMERICAN IDOL judges and executive producers spoke about what Season 10 will be like. The big question, judge Randy Jackson says, has been who of the judges (Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and himself) are going to be the mean one like former judge Simon Cowell. “I’ve heard a lot of talk of who is going to be the tough one or the mean one,” says Jackson. “You still hear that from all three of us.
