TCA 2011: Fox talks FRINGE and Season 4 expectations on Friday nights

One of the big wins for the Fox network last season was the risky move of its signature science-fiction series FRINGE from Thursday nights to Fridays – resulting in sustained ratings and giving Fox a stronghold on what has been a traditionally difficult night for them. TCA 2011: Fox says it would like to see more BONES beyond Season 7

At today’s Summer 2011 Television Critics Association press tour, Fox’s Entertainment President Kevin Reilly spoke about how proud he was with their Thursday night staple BONES and would love to see it continue well into Season 8 and beyond. “The producers and I would like to keep it going,” says Reilly. “And FINDER [its spin-off] is off to a great start. 20TH Century Fox held the Los Angeles Premiere of RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES on July 28th at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood. Fans lined the street, which was not closed off. So when the stars walked across the street to sign autographs they had to stop the traffic. The fans screamed very loudly for James Franco, Tom Felton and Rupert Grint. Three out of the four acts picked tonight on AMERICA’S GOT TALENT Quarter-Finals – Hollywood Week 4 were no big surprise. Team Illuminate, Fatally Unique and Zuma Zuma were as sure a thing as anything can be. What was surprising was that Yellow Designs Stunt Team didn’t make it and comedian Melissa Villasenor did make it. Ousted were the death defying artist Frank Miles, singer Taylor Davis and the Chipettes sounding Avery and the Calico Hearts.
