After last week’s exceptional “Benderama” episode of FUTURAMA which featured none other than Bender becoming a super-being, this week finds Bender committing suicide (or was he murdered) and ends up a ghost that haunts the machines at Planet Express in order to murder Fry.

It all starts when Fry saves the life of a human over a robot during a parade mishap. Fry believes human life is more precious than robot life and Bender decides to finally commit suicide. It turns out the Suicide Machine is his ex-girlfriend who murders him instead.

The Robot Devil appears (who still has a grudge against Fry from a previous episode where they exchanged hands) and offers Bender a deal – he scares Fry to death and he’ll be put back into his own body.

From there, the story progressively gets weirder (like all FUTURAMA episodes) resulting in Fry moving to an Amish planet to have a machine-free lifestyle.

The jokes are rapid fire, and it’s always nice to have Robot Devil make another guest appearance (featuring the voice of Dan Castellaneta).

The Robo-exorcist is also a funny bit, but ironically, it’s the human element that actually makes the episode all the more stronger as it shows the bond (through thick and thin) between human and his robot best friend. It’s a touching little end note to another very cool Bender-centric episode this season.
