In The CW’s new Wednesday-night series NANCY DREW, based on the long-running series of novels by the pseudonymous Carolyn Keene, Nancy (Kennedy McMann) and her friends solve mysteries both natural and supernatural in the small town of Horseshoe Bay. One of Nancy’s helpful friends and co-workers is diner worker Ace, played by Alex Saxon. Ace comes off as laid-back, but is actually very observant. THE FIX, ABC’s Monday-night legal drama, is based (in its first season, at least) on the courtroom experiences of Marcia Clark. Clark gained fame as the prosecutor in the real-life murder case against then-famed football player O.J. Simpson, accused of killing his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. Simpson was declared not guilty, though he subsequently lost a civil suit brought by the parents of the victims. Based on a novel by former prosecutor Marcia Clark, ABC’s new Monday-night drama THE FIX follows one particular investigation. Eight years ago, Los Angeles assistant district attorney Maya Travis (Robin Tunney) lost a double homicide case when she prosecuted celebrity Sevvy Johnson (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje).
