TV Review: PRIMEVAL – Season 4 – “Episode Four”

Most of the ARC team is dispatched to handle a herd of venomous, hybrid reptile/mammals invading McKinnon school, a mission complicated by the presence of several annoying students kept after hours in an amateur reenactment of THE BREAKFAST CLUB. There’s a stuck-up girl (Lauren Coe) with an attitude that just begs to be taken down a peg via the tender attentions of a therocephalian, and two geeky boys (Patrick Gibson, Ciaran Flynn) that might have merited some sympathy if they didn’t try to humiliate the girl by uploading her personal phone videos to the school’s CCTV system. But it’s all academic (heh) since the school is now a battleground.

TV Review: CHUCK – Season 4 – “Vs. The Balcony”

Come on CHUCK fans, we all knew that there was no way Chuck (Zachary Levi) was going to be able propose to Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) without some complications.

Of course, that’s the pleasure of “Vs. The Balcony” a light and fun episode detailing some routine spy stuff in France accompanied by Chuck’s constantly foiled attempts to propose to Sarah.

TV Review: PRIMEVAL – Season 4 – “Episode One”

PRIMEVAL returns – almost beyond all reason – for a fourth series of adventures two years after its cancellation and miraculous resurrection via some joint funding (which will see it through at least a fifth series airing later in 2011). I’ve been following the show since its debut as an ITV DOCTOR WHO rival, and it’s one of those series that just seems to hang on despite not being all that good. It has a great premise, some decent characters (at least initially), a cute hook via the cheesy CGI dinosaurs and monsters that populate every episode, but it never manages to rise above mediocrity. And yet, here we are talking about its fourth series premiere.
