News: Will THE AVENGERS shoot one more scene before its release on May 4? Robert Downey Jr. says so

There may or may not be one more scene added to THE AVENGERS before its release. At a press conference on Thursday, AVENGERS star Robert Downey, Jr. announced, “We are shooting one more scene tonight. Not kidding.” At a second press conference immediately following this, AVENGERS writer/director Joss Whedon was asked about this. His response: “It’s Robert. Of course he’s kidding.” Who’s the real kidder here? Tell us what you think! With THE AVENGERS set to hit theaters on May 4 featuring Marvel’s greatest heroes together in one movie, the marketing machine is kicking into high gear with six brand new posters from the film. Each one displays two heroes per poster, giving us some major action with established players Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man aka Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Marvel Studios and Paramount Pictures held the World Premiere of CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER at the El Capitan Theater on July 19th. The carpet was red and white, and at the end of the carpet before the stars of the film and guests walked into the theater was the CAPTAIN AMERICA shield. The premiere was sponsored by Harley-Davidson, and where I was they had a white Harley that the stars autographed when they walked on the carpet.  In the film, CAPTAIN AMERICA rides a Harley-Davidson WLA motorcycle.  Also sponsoring was Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin’ Donuts.
