HANNIBAL series creator Bryan Fuller says people should definitely tune into tonight’s episode, “Releves,” which airs tonight, Thurs. CD Review: PUSHING DAISIES – Season 2 original soundtrack

PUSHING DAISIES - Season 2 original soundtrack | © 2011 Varese Sarabande Records

If the sound of death can be called adorable, then Jim Dooley did the trick over the course of two seasons with the “forensic fairy tale” PUSHING DAISIES, wherein a baker brought the deceased back to life with usually eccentric results. It’s the kind of pokily sweet ghoulishness that Danny Elfman put on the map with BEETLEJUICE. And while there’s a healthy dose of that sound to go around this delightful 62-minute CD, Dooley somehow managed to pump up Elfman’s skull n’ bones bounce to new inspired heights in Season 2, turning the undead carnival into more of a waltz […]Read On »

WonderCon 2011: Will there be anymore HEROES? Former producer Bryan Fuller chimes in (Exclusive)

HEROES - Season 1 - DVD | ©NBC Universal

Bryan Fuller was both a co-executive producer and consulting producer for NBC’s HEROES during its run before moving to PUSHING DAISIES on ABC and then briefly returning to HEROES for its final year. So does he hear about anything happening with the series either movies or otherwise? “Nothing,” Fuller says. “I wouldn’t be surprised if they waited for a while and then they reinvented it entirely. There have been two regime changes at NBC since HEROES came out and neither of those had a vested interest in the show. I can’t imagine they would go back into the vault, but […]Read On »

PUSHING DAISIES - Season 1 DVD | ©Warner Bros.

Creator and writer Bryan Fuller at WonderCon 2011 | ©2011 Assignment X/Peter Brown Bryan Fuller’s baby PUSHING DAISIES only lasted two seasons on ABC and one could argue at the treatment it received during that second season. However, he isn’t saying goodbye just yet and would love to have it appear on another network at some point. “I am really emboldened by what Starz is doing with TORCHWOOD and I would love to do a PUSHING DAISIES mini-series on Starz,” Fuller says. “This would be a great way to wrap up the show properly. [We could] do six great episodes […]Read On »
