The fact-based series chronicles the home and professional life of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar, played by Wagner Maura, and the efforts of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency to bring him down. Real-life DEA agents Steve Murphy and Javier Pena are played by, respectively, Boyd Holbrook and Pedro Pascal.
