FOX Searchlight Pictures, Regency Enterprises and River Road Entertainment Presented a Special Screening recently of 12 YEARS A SLAVE at the Directors Guild of America in West Hollywood. It was a small event with some of the stars in the film. Seen walking the carpet were: Chiwetel Ejiofor, Lupita Nyong’O, Alfre Woodard, Garret Dillahunt, Jay Huguley, Rob Steinberg, Kelsey Scott, Ashley Dyke, Chris Chalk, Storm Reid, Craig Tate, Director Steve McQueen, Director of Photography Sean Bobbitt, Screenwriter John Ridley, and Composer Hans Zimmer. In PERCEPTION, now in its second season on TNT, Tuesday nights at 9 PM, Eric McCormack plays Dr. Daniel Pierce, a neuroscientist who helps the FBI solve cases. Daniel actually has neurological and psychological issues of his own that cause him to see imaginary people, among other things. LeVar Burton plays Dr. Paul Haley, Daniel’s longtime friend who is a cultural anthropologist and the dean of the college where Daniel teaches. Paramount Pictures recently held the Los Angeles Premiere of STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. The TCL Chinese, where normally premieres are held is shut down for the summer for remodeling. Closing Hollywood Boulevard from Highland to Orange to accommodate the fans for this next installment in the STAR TREK Universe. Fans were everywhere hanging over the railings in the Hollywood/Highland Complex, besides in the bleachers overlooking the gray carpet and on both sides of the street.
