The title of CBS’s half-hour comedy THE NEIGHBORHOOD, now in its first season on Monday nights and renewed for a second, refers to a historic African-American enclave in Los Angeles. Cedric the Entertainer, one of THE NEIGHBORHOOD’s executive producers, plays Calvin, a patriarch who takes pride in his family (wife Tina is played by Tichina Arnold, their sons are played by Sheaun McKinney and Marcel Spears), his neighborhood, and his social standing. Disney • Pixar held the World Premiere of MONSTERS UNIVERSITY, June 17th at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. It was a big premiere with the blue carpet running almost the whole block from Highland to Orange closing down Hollywood Blvd., which also included a Tailgate event with games and food for the guests. As usual it was lots of press, photographers and fans. The Paley Center for Media recently held a special event for WARNER BROS. TELEVISION in an exhibit called TELEVISION: OUT OF THE BOX. The exhibit will be on display for the next three years. It was a great turnout as stars from Warner Bros. Television showed their support for this wonderful event and to honor the shows that they appeared in or are appearing in now.
