Christmas came a little early this year in Hollywood! New Line Cinema in association with Mandate Pictures, a Kingsgate Film Production held the Los Angeles Premiere of A VERY HAROLD AND KUMAR 3D CHRISTMAS, November 2nd at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater. The red carpet was decorated with toy soldiers, lights, Santa Claus, presents and some little gadget called a Waffle Dot. Regency Enterprises celebrated the Los Angeles Premiere of IN TIME, October 20th at the Regency Village Theater in Westwood. The concept makes me think of the 1976 film LOGAN’S RUN, which starred Michael York and Jenny Agutter where life ended at 30 in the Carousel. DreamWorks Animation held the Los Angeles Premiere of PUSS IN BOOTS on October 23rd at the Regency Theater in Westwood. Closing the street where the theater is located, the “beige” carpet, had backdrops that looked like sets from the film. Costumed PUSS IN BOOTS and Kitty Softpaws walked the carpet, plus before the premiere started Spanish dancers came down the carpet. Thompson and tells the story of itinerant journalist Paul Kemp (Johnny Depp). Image Entertainment, in conjunction with co-sponsor FEARnet held the World Premiere of CHILLERAMA recently at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Hollywood. Fans and stars sat on blankets on the Douglas Fairbanks lawn to watch the movie on the walls of the Mausoleum. DreamWorks Pictures held the World Premiere of REAL STEEL on October 2nd at the Gibson Amphitheatre, Universal Citywalk in Universal City. On the Citywalk stage two of the robots stood for people to take pictures with. REAL STEEL is set in the near future where 2000 lb. robot fighters have replaced humans in the boxing rings.
