ALL THE WAY, Robert Schenkkan’s drama about President Lyndon Baines Johnson, the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the American civil rights movement in 1964, won Tony Awards for Original Play and Bryan Cranston’s lead performance. Now director Jay Roach has brought ALL THE WAY to HBO as a telefilm, premiering Saturday, May 21. Schenkkan adapted the script and Cranston reprises his role as LBJ; Anthony Mackie portrays Dr. King. Fox’s Monday-night hit GOTHAM, developed by executive producer Bruno Heller from the DC Comics BATMAN series, tells the story of that legendary metropolis before Bruce Wayne became the Caped Crusader. Bruce Wayne, played by David Mazouz, is a preteen, orphaned when his parents are murdered in front of him at the beginning of the series. We see him developing the traits that will one day allow Bruce to be Batman, but GOTHAM centers on another crime fighter, Gotham City Police Department’s detective James Gordon, played by Ben McKenzie.
