Recently Warner Bros. Pictures held the Los Angeles Premiere of 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Even though the streets were closed from Highland to Orange, it basically was a small premiere with the stars of the film and a few guest…and of course fans. Universal Studios Hollywood held the Annual EYEGORE AWARDS in celebration of the opening of HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS recently. The EYEGORE AWARDS honor horror genre’s top stars and filmmakers. This year’s EYEGORE AWARD honorees included Oscar-nominated Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro (HELLBOY and PAN’S LABYRINTH), Chad Michael Murray (HOUSE OF WAX), GRIMM stars Silas Weir Mitchell and Bitsie Tulloch accepted an award on behalf of the NBC’s hit series, Angelica Maria and Angelica Vale – the mother-daughter duo accepted the award for their role in MUJERES ASESINAS 2 (FEMALE ASSASSINS 2). In the often copycat world of reality competition television, Syfy’s series FACE OFF, premiering tonight (Wednesday) at 10 PM, is a first. Twelve contestants are assembled, not to sing, dance or romance, but rather to prove their excellence and originality in the realm of special-effects makeup. The regular judges for the twelve-contestant, eight-week show include multiple Oscar winner Ve Neill (BEETLEJUICE, ED WOOD, MRS.
