TCA 2011: Why did Fox’s LONE STAR fail? Fox explains.

While speaking at today’s Fox Winter TCA tour in Pasadena, CA, Fox Entertainment Chairman Peter Rice spoke about why he felt their Fall series LONE STAR failed after only two episodes. “We made a show we really loved, and thought the creators were very talented and made an excellent show,” says Rice. “ [The critics] believed in the show and liked the show, but not enough people showed up to watch it. TCA 2011: LIE TO ME still on bubble for renewal

Although LIE TO ME, which stars Tim Roth, has been a solid performer by Fox, it’s fate is still on the bubble according to Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly. “I like to believe there’s more upside to LIE TO ME,” he said while speaking at today’s Fox Winter TCA tour in Pasadena, CA. “It’s delivered a very loyal audience.
