In ENGLISH TEACHER, series creator Brian Jordan Alvarez plays the title role, Evan Marquez, an instructor at an Austin, Texas high school where nuance is everything. The comedy airs Monday nights on FX, with episodes available the following day on Hulu. Sean Patton plays Evan’s colleague Markie Hillridge, the school’s physical education instructor and football coach.
