Back in the day, there were a lot more “woman in jeopardy” medium-budget thrillers and far fewer people questioned their underlying messages (unless the movies were made by someone like Alfred Hitchcock, in which case they were generally considered to be in some other genre). Recently, Lionsgate held the World Premiere of THE HUNGER GAMES at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Downtown Los Angeles. This premiere had the same setup as THE TWILIGHT SAGA premieres that have been held down at Nokia…BIG is the word to describe it. Fans of the book series by Suzanne Collins were everywhere. They screamed as the stars arrived. Some wanted autographs and their photo taken with the stars.
