FilmDistrict held the World Premiere of THE RUM DIARY, October 13th at LACMA in Los Angeles. This was part of Film Independent at LACMA. THE RUM DIARY is based on the debut novel of Hunter S. Thompson and tells the story of itinerant journalist Paul Kemp (Johnny Depp). Fed up with the noise and madness of New York he travels to the pristine island of Puerto Rico to write for a local newspaper, The San Juan Star.
