Universal Studios Hollywood held the Annual EYEGORE AWARDS in celebration of the opening of HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS recently. The EYEGORE AWARDS honor horror genre’s top stars and filmmakers. This year’s EYEGORE AWARD honorees included Oscar-nominated Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro (HELLBOY and PAN’S LABYRINTH), Chad Michael Murray (HOUSE OF WAX), GRIMM stars Silas Weir Mitchell and Bitsie Tulloch accepted an award on behalf of the NBC’s hit series, Angelica Maria and Angelica Vale – the mother-daughter duo accepted the award for their role in MUJERES ASESINAS 2 (FEMALE ASSASSINS 2). New Line Cinema held a Los Angeles Special Screening of FINAL DESTINATION 5 on August 10th at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. Disney•Pixar held the World Premiere of CARS 2 at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on June 18th. Hollywood Boulevard was transformed into the World Grand Prix between Highland and Orange. Life-Size remote-controlled cars of Lightning McQueen, Mater and Finn McMissile came down the black carpet, which looked like a racetrack. The backdrop was so cool as, like the movie, cars looked liked they were sitting in the stands. The press section was built on a riser so we looked down onto the carpet.
