Open Road Films held the World Premiere for THE HOST on March 19th at the ArcLight Hollywood Cinerama Dome. Fans were across from where I shot, and on risers and over by the door of the theatre. Subway gave sandwiches out to all the media, fans, stars and everyone else that walked the carpet. T-shirts were handed out to the fans as they waited patiently to get a picture with their favorites and an autograph. Recently Columbia Pictures held the Los Angeles Premiere of TOTAL RECALL at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. TOTAL RECALL, which is now playing, is an action thriller about reality and memory, inspired anew by the famous short story “We Can Remember It For You Wholesale” by Philip K. Dick. Colin Farrell assumes the role made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1990 TOTAL RECALL. Recently HBO held the Los Angeles Premiere screening for the 5th season of their hit show TRUE BLOOD at the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood. Season 5 brings back returning cast favorites and will introduce new otherworldly characters. Season 5 goes deep into the battle between the Vampire Authority and “vampire fundamentalists” – a political power play whose outcome could decided the fate of Sookie and her Bon Temps friends and all human existence. Recently in Hollywood, on a very hot day, 20th Century Fox held the World Premiere of THE THREE STOOGES at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. If you remember the TV show THE THREE STOOGES, Larry, Curly and Moe were always finger-poking, nyuk-nyuking and woo-woo-wooing. The trend continues in this big screen release. Columbia Pictures recently held the premiere of 21 JUMP STREET at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Taken after the television show (1987-1991) of the same name, which starred Johnny Depp, Holly Robinson Peete (who stars in the film), Dustin Nguyen, Peter DeLuise and Richard Grieco. The film version has the same premise; two young looking guys from the police force go undercover in a local high school to investigate a drug ring.
