In CBS’ RUSH HOUR, Jon Foo stars as a Chinese police detective in Los Angeles, with Justin Hires as his LAPD partner. Aimee Garcia and Page Kennedy costar as characters on opposite sides of the law. Garcia’s single mother Detective Didi Diaz is all for enforcing the law, while Kennedy’s Gerald is an informant who gets into a lot of questionable situations. Garcia spent several years on DEXTER as the title character’s innocent child-care provider. RUSH HOUR: Steve Franks talks the new CBS series – exclusive interview

Steve Franks created the fake mystic/real detective comedy procedural PSYCH, which ran for eight seasons on USA. Now Franks is an executive producer and writer on RUSH HOUR, airing Saturday nights on CBS. RUSH HOUR is adapted from the film franchise, starring Jackie Chan as a straitlaced Chinese police detective paired up with a freewheeling LAPD cop played by Chris Tucker. Columbia Pictures recently held the premiere of 21 JUMP STREET at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Taken after the television show (1987-1991) of the same name, which starred Johnny Depp, Holly Robinson Peete (who stars in the film), Dustin Nguyen, Peter DeLuise and Richard Grieco. The film version has the same premise; two young looking guys from the police force go undercover in a local high school to investigate a drug ring.
