During the press event for SUPERNATURAL at the 2012 San Diego Comic Con, new SUPERNATURAL  showrunner Jeremy Carver talked about how Season 8 won’t hopefully be the last season. In fact, Carver said he is confident the show could go on long after the upcoming season given the stories they have set up. “It would be a shame if there was not a set ending for the show,” Carver said.” I can tell you there is no talk about canceling it. The storylines we have set up for this year, sets up the show for years to come. So we are certainly not […]Read On »

Stars: Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder Writer: Michael Narducci, Based on the book by L.J. Smith Director: Joshua Butler     Network: The CW, airs Thursday nights Original Telecast: April 24, 2012 The most important thing about THE VAMPIRE DIARIES episode “Do not go Gentle” is the fact that they are finally doing something with Alaric (Matthew Davis) that is worthwhile! For the better part of this season I have been railing on the fact that the writers just can’t seem to make up their minds in regards to what to do with Alaric. He gets smacked around, killed and […]Read On »

CD Review: HAUNTED OR HUMORED soundtrack

HAUNTED OR HUMORED soundtrack | ©2012 Christopher Young

Few composers have been as diligent about getting their work out there as Christopher Young, whether his music accompanied blockbusters, unreleased indies, concert pieces, shorts, or scores that weren’t used at all. Based on dozens of albums and promos, Young has been one very busy man over the decades. Yet even his most obscure releases have shown the same dedication to quality and creativity, no matter the project’s music budget or studio politics. Now Young’s relentless musical drive has inspired his own record label to put these scores onto, beginning with the compilation HAUNTED OR HUMORED. As a composer whose […]Read On »

Wright Network: ABC, Monday nights, 10 p.m. Original Telecast: February 7, 2012 In “The Blue Butterfly,” the CASTLE team pays tribute to the great detective films of yore with a case that harkens back to June 1947, and let’s be real here, the result is little more than an excuse to get the cast all duded up in great 1940s fashions and hairstyles. But it’s a really good excuse! The 1940s scenes happen as Castle (Nathan Fillion) reads the 1947 diary […]Read On »
