TCA 2011: NBC is confident THE OFFICE will do well despite Steve Carell’s exit and James Spader being added

With THE OFFICE losing Steve Carell this season, and James Spader coming in to fill that gap, NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt is confident the  show will continue to prosper on Thursday nights. “My expectations are always very measured, so that we can under-expect and hopefully over-deliver,” says Greenblatt. “THE OFFICE is a very important to us. In Hallmark Channel’s original movie ROCK THE HOUSE (which airs tonight), lawyer Max, played by Jack Coleman, finds a way to reconnect with his daughter and his old sense of joy when he gets back together with his music-making friends from his teenaged years. Exclusive TCA 2011 News: Steve Carell will be leaving THE OFFICE in April, not at the end of the season

Big news (and sad news) for THE OFFICE fans. Yes, Steve Carell is leaving at the end of the season of the NBC series, but he’s leaving much earlier than expected. Instead of making the last episode of the season his swan song, executive producer Greg Daniels revealed to ASSIGNMENT X tonight in an exclusive interview at the NBC Winter TCA party, that Carell will be departing on the April 28th episode, giving THE OFFICE a handful of episodes to deal with the aftermath of Michael Scott’s exit during the rest of Season Seven. “The big scoop tonight, he’s not […]Read On »
