It was a night to gush on DANCING WITH THE STARS. American Icon night had the judges handing out tens like hotcakes and the duos were lapping it up. Still, the biggest shock came when Olympian Charlie White & Sharna Burgess were eliminated in the ninth week and the usually lower-scoring Candace Cameron Bure & Mark Ballas got sent to the finals. It was no surprise to see Meryl Davis & Maks Chmerkovskiy earn a perfect 80 for the night with Amy Purdy & Derek Hough right on their heels with a 78. James Maslow & Peta Murgatroyd earned 76 points and Bure & Ballas received 72 points. Guest judge choreographer and director Kenny Ortega was a right fit for the show and the cast relished his presence, Chmerkovskiy even graced him with a kiss. The final four are off to the finals next week. Stay tuned.
