Jerry Bruckheimer celebrated his 40-year career on June 24th by receiving the 2,501st star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the Category of Motion Pictures. The Jerry Bruckheimer Walk of Fame star is located in front of the El Capitan Theatre, which was very fitting since THE PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN series, and the soon to be released THE LONE RANGER and many other films were released by Disney.

The ceremony was attended by many stars, from film and television, which included: Tom Cruise, Jerry O’Connell, Isla Fisher, Marg Helgenberge, Jon Voight, Rick Dees, Alan Horn (Chairman Disney), and Martin Lawrence.

Speaking at the ceremony was Johnny Depp and Bob Iger (CEO Disney). Leron Gubler (Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, President/CEO) introduced Jerry Bruckheimer and then Bob Iger spoke. After Iger finished Gubler introduced the special guest speaker, Johnny Depp, who told the crowd that he couldn’t just talk to a crowd, but he could read to them, which made everyone laugh. Over to the side, where I was sitting, you could see Tom Cruise listening to everything.

Jerry Bruckheimer has also been the Executive Producer of the C.S.I.: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION and it’s spinoffs, C.S.I.: MIAMI, C.S.I.: NY, and many other shows. In the Fall 2013 the new show HOSTAGES, which will air on CBS.

It was a nice ceremony and the star was well deserved to a man that has created box-office hits and television shows that are watched worldwide. Congratulations Jerry!
