Recently for the celebration of the historic 500th episode of THE SIMPSONS, FOX invited fans to participate in THE SIMPSONS Ultimate Fan Marathon Challenge at the Hollywood & Highland Complex in Hollywood.

Fans came together to watch 500 continuous episodes of THE SIMPSONS in a building put together in the middle of the courtyard with oversized couches and a huge television. The contest winner that broke the current Guinness World Record of 86 hours, 6 minutes and 41 seconds would win a prize worth $10,500 and an array of THE SIMPSONS merchandise.

Fans, the press and everyone that was in the complex that day were treated to SIMPSONS Donuts and caramel and cheese popcorn.

Joining Homer Simpson, Marge Simpson, Maggie Simpson, Lisa Simpson and Bart Simpson was Al Jean (Executive Producer), Nancy Cartwright (voice of Bart Simpson) and Yeardley Smith (voice of Lisa Simpson).

Visit to get the latest SIMPSONS merchandise, and in February, a special selection of products created exclusively to celebrate the 500th episode milestone will be on sale.

  2. I haven’t seen any recent Simpsons episodes so I can’t really say, but I used to really enjoy it when I was younger. I also thought the movie was hilarious. And maybe we just have a different taste in comedy, or you’ve been watching different new episodes haha, but I absolutely can’t stand Family Guy. It’s hard to watch and he draws every joke on WAY too long now. The episodes are now full of irrelevant, stupid jokes and I completely lost interest after I saw an episode where they went to Texas in a recent season, he stereotyped everyone there to be a hating, Republican cowboy who owns a ranch. I live in Texas and have never met anyone like that. I just think Seth MacFarlane is extremely arrogant and uneducated and I hope Family Guy ends soon. It’s sad because it used to be one of my favorite shows but now I don’t understand how it even gets airtime. SOUTH PARK ALL THE WAY!! haha

  3. Simpson used to be good but now just like tonights espoide all we get is Lisa whining and bitching for some change of some real world problem. Listen its a show..a show to take us away from reality not drag us into it. Screw Lisa, Screw Marge I want more Homer and Bart you know smart a** comedy not self righteous whining and moaning. For that reason Family Guy will always be a little bit better, sorry its the truth. Less lessons and more slapstick after all you created this style didn’t you?
