With Christopher Meloni not returning to LAW & ORDER: SVU this year, rumors had been circulating that Mariska Hargitay would only be doing a handful of episodes of Season 13, but at today’s NBC TCA press day, NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt wanted to clarify the issue.
“There has been a lot of confusion about what her involvement with SVU is this year,” says Greenblatt. “And I want to make it clear that she’s going to be in every episode. There were some rumors about her sort of dropping down [episodes] a few months ago and talk about bringing in new cast members. We actually have brought in a couple of new cast members to the show as Chris Meloni has exited, but Mariska is there in every single episode and it’s my goal to make sure that continues past this season.”
