On NBC’s Monday night action/comedy series CHUCK, now in its fourth season, the core team of spies consists of Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi), who still maintains his cover as an employee at the Buy More electronics store, and longtime espionage agents Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strahovski) and Col. John Casey (Adam Baldwin), with Chuck’s lifelong friend Morgan (Joshua Gomez) providing untrained backup. Last season, we learned that seeming loner Casey had once been engaged – and we learned along with Casey that relationship produced a daughter, now a young woman Alex McHugh, played by Mekenna Melvin. Alex has since learned that […]Read On »

In the last first […]Read On »

Exclusive Interview: Ryan McPartlin is Awesome on CHUCK

On NBC’s CHUCK, now in its fourth season on Mondays at 8 PM, Zachary Levi may play the title spy with Intersect-given superpowers, but it’s Chuck’s brother-in-law Devon Woodcomb, played by Ryan McPartlin, who is nicknamed – without irony – Captain Awesome. There’s good reason for this: Devon is the perfect doctor, friend, boyfriend-turned-husband and now dad to baby Clara (Chuck’s niece). He’s also pretty awesome in appearance, which the other characters remark upon with regularity. Chicago native McPartlin seems to take everything in stride as easily as Devon does, sounding happy and relaxed as he talks about the character […]Read On »

Toye Network: NBC, airs Monday nights Original Telecast: February 28, 2011 Is Vivian Volkoff (Lauren Cohan) good or evil? That’s the big question CHUCK offers up in “Vs. The First Bank of Evil.” While Chuck (Zachary Levi) spent the first four seasons looking for his mom and dad, it thankfully didn’t send him over the deep end – it just made him a spy. However, after the events of […]Read On »

TV Review: CHUCK – Season 4 – “Vs. The Masquerade”

Stars: Zachary Levi, Yvonne Strahovski, Adam Baldwin, Joshua Gomez, Vic Sahay, Scott Krinsky, Sarah Lancaster, Ryan McPartlin, Mark Christopher Lawrence, Bonita Friedericy Writers: Rafe Judkins, Lauren LeFranc Director: Patrick Norris Network: NBC, airs Monday nights Original Telecast: February 21, 2011 First off, it’s nice that CHUCK hasn’t completely abandoned the Alexei Volkoff (Timothy Dalton) Big Bad storyline that wrapped up with “The Push Mix” a few weeks ago. Given there is still half a season to go, to send off Volkoff to prison without a fight (or some other kind of twist) would be unfair to say the least. With […]Read On »
