With GLEE entering its fourth season with storylines set in Ohio and New York, Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly reveals this new structure has worked out quite nicely with the three scripts he’s read so far. “I’m very happy with how seamless it is,” says Reilly. “There is a thematic linkage between the two. I think it’s going to be an event for fun for the audience not knowing who is going to show up when. We have a core of returning character we will be servicing every week and limited deals with some actors joining here or there.” Reilly […]Read On »

CD Review: Joey Ramone – …YA KNOW?

Joey Ramone - ...YA KNOW? | ©2012 BMG

Distributor: BMG Suggested Retail Price: $9.90 When Joey Ramone, the frontman of the groundbreaking punk pop band Ramones passed away in 2001, 11 unreleased songs found their way on the posthumous release DON’T WORRY ABOUT ME. While the songs weren’t as perfect as his days with the Ramones, they still were fun little ditties and allowed us to mourn, through music, the legacy Joey Ramone left behind. Now, almost eleven years after his death, his second posthumous release is here. Titled …YA KNOW? (because Ramone always ended his sentences with those two words), the tracks consist of demos and other […]Read On »

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT - Season 6 - "New York Auditions - 2" | ©2011 NBC/Ali Goldstein

Network: NBC, airs whenever the network wants it to air Original Telecast: June 28, 2011 The question keeps coming up over and over again as I sit and watch hundreds of people make fools of themselves on AMERICA’S GOT TALENT. Why? Why? Why? Don’t these people have loved ones advising them not to go on television and embarrass themselves? I don’t get it. Yet, they keep on coming. Many like Rak & Tak, a married couple, both doctors apparently, aspire to be singers. There is one very, very big, humongous, ginormous problem with their dream – they can’t hold a […]Read On »

TV Review: AMERICA’S GOT TALENT – Season 6 – “New York Auditions 1”

You would think New York – second only to Los Angeles – would have an overabundance of talent to showcase. Not so much. AMERICA’S GOT TALENT proved that with day one of auditions in the Big Apple. We witnessed only five acts get the go ahead to Las Vegas. Five! So many were so bad that we didn’t even get to see Piers Morgan buzz them right off the stage. You could just tell with a few brief seconds peek into their acts that they weren’t going anywhere except home! The Triple Threat – named because they supposedly could sing, […]Read On »

Stars: Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Jessalyn Gilsig, Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley, Mark Salling, Jenna Ushkowitz Writer: Brad Falchuk Director: Brad Falchuk Network: Fox, airs Tuesday nights Original Telecast: May 24, 2011 Well we have at last reached the end of the second season of GLEE. This season had some really high points, and some horribly preachy overdone episodes, but all in all I try to just remember the moments that honestly were amazing. Following on the heels of last week’s episode “Funeral” (which was one of BEST episodes of the […]Read On »
