The SHARKNADO cast and creators (and the Shark) took over Dark Delicacies Bookstore in Burbank on September 8th for a DVD signing release for the SyFy Channel’s hit movie. Signing was Director Anthony C. Ferrante, Writer Thunder Levin. Joining them were stars: Tara Reid, Ian Ziering, Cassie Scerbo, Jaason Simmons, John Heard, and Robbie Rist. SHARKNADO, the movie about a tornado full of sharks that decimates Los Angeles, has been all over social media, radio and TV since its debut on Syfy Channel on July 11. Syfy has run the film twice since then, to bigger ratings each time. Now SHARKNADO and recently stormed into 200 movie theatres across the U.S. for a midnight showing this past Friday. Breaking News: Syfy officially announces SHARKNADO 2 and it bites the Big Apple

Yes, it’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s SHARKNADO 2 and it’s coming to New York to take a bite out of the Big Apple. Last night, Syfy announced via LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON  that a sequel has been greenlit and it will take place in New York this time. The Asylum will be producing the film again and it’s set to air in 2014. Syfy also announced that it is asking the fans to come up with the sequel subtitle via Twitter.
