THE ROOKIE, ABC’s dramedy cop show, premieres its sixth season on Tuesday, February 20. The following week, the series celebrates its milestone 100th episode, which features the wedding of Nathan Fillion’s LAPD rookie-turned-training officer John Nolan to Jenna Dewan’s firefighter Bailey Nune. In THE ROOKIE’s second season, Eric Winter’s character, LAPD training officer Tim Bradford, is starting to mellow a little. Sure, in the series created by Alexi Hawley, Bradford still addresses all the new officers as “Boot,” has no patience with slow responses, and generally expects everybody to live up to his standards of perfection. However, Bradford has gotten noticeably gentler with his trainee, Officer Lucy Chen (Melissa O’Neil), ever since she survived being kidnapped by a serial killer. In Season 2 of THE ROOKIE, Sunday nights on ABC, Nathan Fillion’s title character, John Nolan, continues his education as the oldest rookie in the LAPD. This season, he’s got a new training officer, Nyla Harper (played by Mekia Cox), a former undercover officer. Harper was written in after Afton Williamson, who played the rookie’s previous training officer Talia Bishop, left the series complaining of sexual harassment by a guest actor and a crew member. Eric Winter was brought to the attention of the WITCHES OF EAST END producers, according to Lifetime executive vice-president and general manager Rob Sharenow, because the actor attended a Christmas party with his wife Rosalyn Sanchez, who is a regular on Lifetime’s DEVIOUS MAIDS. Sharenow tells the press, “All the Lifetime women thought he was so hot that we had to have him on a show. Christmas came a little early this year in Hollywood! New Line Cinema in association with Mandate Pictures, a Kingsgate Film Production held the Los Angeles Premiere of A VERY HAROLD AND KUMAR 3D CHRISTMAS, November 2nd at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater.
